Our Year 3/4 team would like to give you a warm welcome. We are always here to answer any questions you may have. As children enter Lower Key Stage Two, they build on their prior learning and engage in a motivating and engaging curriculum designed to meet the needs of all learners, enabling every child to thrive.

In Years 3 and 4, we have three mixed-age classes — Amarillo, Rosa and Verde. Our aim is to ensure a smooth transition into Key Stage 2 while further developing children’s independence, confidence and social skills. We strive to empower every child to become intrinsically motivated, understanding that success is achieved through making mistakes and persevering towards ambitious goals.

Across our team, our caring staff support the children throughout their educational journey and help instil our school values of being respectful, ambitious, proud and safe. These values underpin a positive ethos and support children not only in school but also equip them for the wider world.

The key skills and knowledge learnt in Year 3 are revisited and built upon in the following year, ensuring children consolidate and deepen their understanding across all areas of the curriculum. We recognise that happy learners are our best learners. We create a supportive environment where children learn through problem-solving, creativity and positive relationships.
